Information we collect
When you request a quote, use our calculator, chat with our team or subscribe to updates, we collect the details you provide: name, phone number, email address, property address, retailer, approximate power bill and the system you are interested in. We also collect basic technical data such as browser type, device and pages viewed so we can improve the site.
Why we collect it
We use your information to prepare an accurate system design and quote, to apply eligible rebates and finance on your behalf, to lodge grid-connection paperwork with your network operator, to arrange installation and service visits, and to keep you informed about your project. With your consent we may also send occasional offers relating to solar, battery storage and EV charging.
Who we share it with
We share only what is necessary with our accredited installers and electricians, your network operator and retailer for grid-connection approvals, the Clean Energy Regulator for STC claims, rebate administrators, and finance partners where you have applied for finance. We never sell your personal information or provide it to unrelated third parties for marketing.
How we store and protect it
Your details are held in access-controlled systems with encryption in transit. Access is limited to the staff who need it to deliver your project. We retain records for as long as required to support warranties, compliance obligations and Australian record-keeping laws, then securely delete them.
Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies and privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are useful and to remember your preferences. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some features such as saved quote details may not work as expected if you do.
Access, correction and complaints
You may ask us at any time for a copy of the information we hold about you, request corrections, withdraw marketing consent or ask us to delete your details. Email info@totalsolar.com.au or call 1300 209 503 and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response you can escalate to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
